Editing a document in Bigle

You can edit your documents in the Bigle platform, either at the draft stage or at later stages of the document lifecycle

Editing allows you to modify your documents from the Bigle platform, either in the initial or draft phase of the document or at any other time during its life cycle. This allows you to edit the document on the platform at the time of your choice in the case of proposed changes.

How to edit a document from scratch

When you create a document, either from Bigle templates or by uploading it as an external document, a new 'Edit' step opens automatically: in the document environment, you will see it in the upper part of the left panel, accompanied by a grey dot indicating that the editing step is in progress.

Once you have started this editing process, you will be able to make the desired changes before moving on to other steps in the document lifecycle. You can do this in two different ways:

1. Internal edition: from the Bigle platform editor

Add as many edits as you consider necessary to the document from the Bigle platform. Change control is activated by default, so when you make a change, it will be highlighted in red on the right-hand side of the document, modifying the original content. You can also turn change control off at your convenience. When your changes are ready, click ‘Save’ in the top left margin and ‘Finish draft’ in the right margin.

This will end the editing step, allowing you to move on to other steps in your work on the document.

2. External edition: from the external document editor of your choice

Edit the document in a text editor other than Bigle. Click on the download icon at the top right of the document environment to download it. You can do this in Word or PDF format.
