Libra: General AI Chat on the Platform
Make legal inquiries and get assistance at any time, without depending on a specific document.
Libra's General Chat is an artificial intelligence assistant available across the entire Bigle platform. This tool allows you to resolve conceptual doubts, obtain information about types of contracts, and receive support in legal drafting, regardless of the section of the platform you are in and without the need to have a document open.
How to Access the General Chat
The General Chat is always accessible from the main navigation bar:
- Go to the top menu bar.
- Click on the Libra icon located on the right side, next to the Help and inspiration icon.
- A right sidebar will open with the chat interface.

What can I use the General Chat for?
Unlike the document assistant, this functionality is not limited to the context of a specific file. You can use it as a support consultant to streamline your daily work in the following areas:
- Explanation of legal concepts: Clarification of complex legal terms or description of fundamental principles of law.
- Information on contractual or legal aspects: Inquiry about main characteristics, essential elements, and differences between.
- Clause analysis and drafting: Get guidance on the purpose of standard clauses, important considerations when drafting them, or drafting alternative clauses to cover the interests of a contractual party.
- Discussion of legal concepts and principles: Explore the application of concepts such as good faith, force majeure, or the interpretation of general norms in contractual contexts.
- Scenario simulation (Hypothetical questions): Pose common situations to receive a preliminary analysis of legal considerations.
Libra's function is to assist in the understanding and analysis of legal concepts and contracts. It provides information based on legal knowledge, but it does not replace the professional judgment of a lawyer.
Steps to Make an Inquiry
- Open the Libra panel by clicking on the spark icon.
- Write your query: Enter your question or instruction (prompt) in the bottom text box.
- Example: "What are the essential elements that cannot be missing in a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)?"
- Click on Comment or press Enter.
- If desired, you can also select an assistant: In the "Assistant List" dropdown, make sure "General Assistant" is selected (or the specific assistant required by your organization if you have several).
- Libra will process your request and generate a response in the same chat.
You can clear the chat to start a new conversation on a different topic using the available options in the panel.
Voice Dictation for Queries
To speed up interaction or facilitate the entry of extensive instructions, Libra allows you to dictate queries directly through the microphone instead of typing them manually.
- In the chat text box, click on the microphone icon located in the lower right corner.
- If it is your first time using it, allow microphone access in your browser options.
- Dictate your question or instruction clearly.
- The assistant automatically transcribes your voice to text in the input box.
- Review the transcription and click on Comment or press Enter to send the query.
When using the voice dictation functionality, data is processed locally on your device. We do not store or receive audio or transcripts, and any processing done by the browser is the responsibility of the provider. Its activation requires explicit consent by allowing the microphone.

As with all artificial intelligence tools, there is the possibility of occasional errors or hallucinations. It is always recommended to review and validate the responses provided before applying them in your final work.
