Get a complete record of each e-signature process, either in your email or in the signature panel.
The audit trail is a document that compiles the history of all the steps carried out during each electronic signature process. This document, which varies in its composition depending on the signature provider used, includes detailed information such as who sent the document to be signed, when it was sent, when it was received and opened, when it was signed and by whom.
How to download the audit trail of a signature process
You have two ways to access the audit trail of the e-signature:
1. Receive the audit trail along with your signed document.
By default, after completing a signature process, you will receive the audit trail of the signature in your email inbox, along with the signed document.
This option is configurable. If you wish to receive the signed document without the audit trail and access it later, please contact our support team at support@biglelegal.com.
2. Download the audit trail from the CLM platform.
In your workspace, access the document in question and, from the signature section on the left-hand side panel, select the signature process for which you wish to obtain the audit trail.
Then click on the ‘Download document’ button at the top right to download your signed document together with the full audit trail which comes at the end of the document.
You can also download the original, unsigned document by clicking the ‘Download original’ button next to the ‘Download document’ button.
