A Certified Mail (Certified Electronic Mail), can be compared to sending a Bureaufax or Certified Letter, as it has the same validity for legal purposes and as possible legal evidence.
The Certified Email process generates a notification that certifies the identity of the sender, the content of the notification, its attachments, and the date and time of sending and receiving it on the recipient's server.
As proof, we can download the certificate in PDF, containing all the information regarding the sending of the Certified Email with the same legal validity as a Burofax.
How to send a certified email through the Bigle platform
1. Access the document you want to send as a certified email. Once you have completed the rest of the processes, choose ‘Add step’ on the left side panel. Click on Certified email, select the version of the document you want to use from the right-side menu and click on Select.
3. The next screen will display the subject line and the body of the email that the recipient of the certified email will receive, both of which can be customised to suit your needs.
You will then be taken to a screen where you can view:
- The status of the certified email.
- The email sent to the recipient.
- The detailed event history of the Certified Email process.
Once the process has been completed, you will be able to access the Certified Email evidence report using the Download report button. By clicking on this option, you will download the document, along with a report containing sender and recipient details, as well as the evidence log of the process.
In addition, you can download the original document by clicking on the Download the document button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
You will also receive a copy of the certified email evidence report in your email inbox.
