Control at a glance all the versions created in the negotiation of your documents with their respective changes and compare versions with each other
The negotiation version history of our CLM platform allows you to access a historical record of all the versions created during the negotiation of your documents. From the time the initial version of the document is sent for negotiation, each time one of the negotiating parties makes changes to the document, a new version is generated and stored in a history accessible from the platform.
In this way, you can monitor each change and compare negotiation phases with each other. Whether you use the platform's internal or external negotiation, our platform ensures that not a single change made to the document escapes you.
How to access the version history
Go to the ‘Negotiation’ section on the left side panel.
Then click on the clock icon with an arrow in the right-hand side panel.
From this tab, you can view both the initial document used to start the negotiation and the subsequent versions generated from it. Remember that each time a user interacts with the document in the negotiation, a new version of the document is generated with the new changes made.
How to use the version comparator
Our platform also allows you to compare versions of the document with each other, in order to visualise every change made to the document during the negotiation.
To use the version comparator, go to the ‘Version history’ tab and click on ‘Compare versions’.
A window will open in which you can select the base version of the document, as well as the comparison version, i.e. the two versions you want to compare. After selecting the two versions of your choice, click ‘Confirm’.
In the next window, you will be shown the base version of the document, with the changes included in the comparison version highlighted in red over the text. In this window you will see the following:
- At the top you are shown the name of the compared documents.
- On the right-hand side, you will see a change panel with additional information about the changes, such as the user who made the changes, as well as the date and time.
- At the top right is the download button, which is used to download the document with the changes highlighted as they appear in this window.
- Next to the download button is the close button so that you can return to the ‘Version History’ screen.
